Here at Birchfield we believe strongly that we want your child to have:
How many hours can I access?
We have recently extended our offer to local families and we now can accommodate children for either 15 hours or 35 hours.
The 35 hour offer incorporates 30 government funded hours. This offer was extended to support working families and those with older siblings. To support this provision there is a minimal charge for additional services such as lunchtime supervision, snacks and external visits and providers. We work closely with a team of well-respected and high quality childminders to support working families in finding a solution that works for all.
It is a parents/carers responsibility to access the 30 hour code before accepting a 30 hour place
Hours can be accessed as follows:
What have you done today?
The most asked question by parents the world over! Well just in case your child won’t tell you we can guarantee that they will have been following the Early years curriculum. The curriculum covers all areas of development and respects that every child is unique and develops at different rates, in different ways and with their own special areas of interest.
On joining us you will be able to have access to your childs learninig journal that will be compiled using an online learning journal 'Tapestry'. Please activate this as sooon as your child joins us to ensure that you are fully informed of your childs learning and progress.
Part of a learning community
The school is a happy and harmonious place for children to learn. There is a close-knit, family-orientated and nurturing atmosphere in the school. Children clearly enjoy the time that they spend in school and typically told me, ‘coming to nursery is the favourite part of my day’.
